There are different types of application deadlines that colleges may have as part of their admission process. These deadlines are Regular Decision, Rolling Admission, Early Action and Early Decision. Some colleges may also offer Restrictive Early Action.

The article also shares some guiding questions on how to decide which application deadline to apply by as well as pros and cons for each deadline type. Be sure to make note of the commitments that may come from applying to certain deadlines, specifically Early Decision. This deadline could potentially come with greater financial commitment.
